Decent #marlborough #pinotnoir - a day after opening, cooked cherries, some prune notes suggesting oxidation on the nose. Lighter bodied, moderate tartness, earthy fruit, toasted oak mid-palate, peppery spice and tobacco notes on the finish. I’m sure there are much better Pinot Noir offerings from New Zealand. — 4 years ago
Tropical fruit aromas leading to just off-dry palate with lychee, hint of ginger spice and loads of juicy acidity. It did indeed pair excellently with Punjabi Indian take out as long as you don’t get carried away with the spice level. #gerwurztraminer #marlborough — 4 years ago
This highly rated #marlborough #sauvignonblanc proves NZ wines like this need not be one-dimensional high-acid quaffers. Grapefruit, elderflower, grassy and herby aromas on the palate. Yes, there’s a big wave of tart green fruit up front but layers continue on the palate with a bit more luscious concentration than typical for the region. Delicious. — 5 months ago

Refreshingly subtle #marlborough #sauvignonblanc - it doesn’t smack you in the nose with green tropical fruit, more subdued passion fruit, grapefruit, citrus notes, nicer weight on the tongue but plenty of tension to keep things balanced. Strong QPR here. — 4 years ago
The label suggests this #marlborough #sauvignonblanc be served a bit warmer than usual, (55°F) and I can see why. The color changing dot 🌡 on the label seems gimmicky, though. Aroma doesn’t shove gauva and tropical fruit in your face as usual for value SBs from this region; instead there is more subtle grapefruit, some grassy notes. Moderate acidity on the palate, still crisp and very quaffable as it warms up on a potluck-on-the-patio summer evening. — 4 years ago
Medium plus aromas and flavors of tart citrus fruit (Mayer lemons, orange) and popcorn and vainilla. It seems overtly ripe on the nose, but the acidity balances the ripe fruit on the palate. #chardonnay #newzealand #marlborough — 4 years ago
Prototypical #marlborough #sauvignonblanc - citrus, gooseberry, some grassy notes but the overall impression is a more subtly satisfying balance between tropical fruit and green notes. Taut acidity make for a refreshing sip on the first truly warm early spring day in Houston. — 4 years ago
Pale pale lemon with pronounced aromas of citrus (grapefruit, tangerine) thiols. Some green fruit (Green Apple, kiwi) and herbaceous hints (green pepper). Dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body and medium finish. #riesling #newzealand #marlborough — 4 years ago

Delicious #marlborough #sauvignonblanc - Heady grapefruit, passionfruit and an under layer of green herbs on the nose. Upon first unscrewing, (+1 for easy, reliable closures;) noticeable prickle on the tongue suggests perhaps unintentional secondary fermentation. If so, it’s a happy accident as a delicious impression of grapefruit soda envelopes your mouth. Touch of grapefruit pith bitterness on the finish. Lovely refreshing alternative to more pedestrian mass-market Kiwi SB. — a month ago
