Tough to chose between this and the Monts Damnes. Nice combination of ripeness and structure, along with some secondary development of aromas and flavors - pear, almond and chalk; great purity and acidity; complex and long finish. — 9 years ago

This is not the blockbuster of the 2007, but it will reach maturity sooner and is already drinking well. Expressive nose of raspberries, red currants and complex soil tones. I would give it just a few more years in the cellar to let the tannins fully integrate. — 9 years ago

Very classic and deep. Complex aromas, great mid-palate depth and ripe, well-integrated tannins. Cherries, smoke, and freshly ground pepper; full-bodied and pure. Despite the obvious ripeness, there is absolutely no sign of heat on the finish; very well balanced. — 9 years ago
