Tried this in class and I am glad to have tasted, as this is absolutely not for me. It was far too sweet. On a more positive note, I could see someone with a sweeter tooth enjoying a glass or two, however anything more than that would make me sick based on the sugar content alone, which I remember to be around .2%. The wine had notes of citrus, which I look for in whites, but overall it was too sweet for my palate, and I typically look for a more dry white. — 4 days ago
For a $15-$20 bottle of wine this was absolutely worth it. I picked this one up at Total Wine and brought it home for me and Nate to try and we both liked it. Earthy and aged properly for a medium quality bottle. I cooked some steak and it was an excellent pairing. The wine was great, however I would not buy it again, on the basis of I simply want to try more wines from the region. — 4 days ago
Just average at best. I drank this when I had a few friends over and my girlfriend seemed to love it, however it was a bit too sweet for me. After the second glass I already had a headache which made me feel pretty old. In terms of the wine, it had nice notes of grapefruit and lemon, just too sweet. — 4 days ago
Clearly my girlfriend has not been reading my Delectable notes, because she bought me a Malbec. Once again, I paired this one with a steak and it truly is an excellent wine. However, I could not get through the whole glass as these heavy, intense wines are just not for me. However, I have tried other Malbecs from outside of Mendoza, and I know that if I were to order a Malbec in the future, it would have to be from Mendoza. Love the blackberry notes that region produces, just a bit heavy. — 4 days ago
Not my favorite. I honestly thought it tasted worse than the crianza, which was shocking as this is supposed to be a level up. Would not drink again, and really didn’t get any strong notes after sniffing. Ended up throwing the rest into the duck after class, which should say something. — 4 days ago
My favorite of the class. Low tannins, with hints of black cherry. It was super smooth and has a nice mouth-coating sensation. I actually bought a bottle at Total Wine and am saving it for a steak night. Similar to the other bottles we tried from the same vineyard, I am going to keep this one in mind in case I need a ‘can’t miss’ bottle to bring to someone’s home. — 4 days ago
This wine was much better than the less dry version from the same vineyard. I got citrus notes with fruit, mainly apples. I am glad to have tried this wine in class as now I know to look for a much more dry white. It had a nice sensation in the mouth, and after the second sip I was really enjoying it. It is a wine I will buy again. — 4 days ago
Awesome wine. I knew when choosing a Malbec I wanted one from Mendoza, so I stumbled upon this one in Total Wine. As is the case with Malbecs, they are full bodied and rich. I paired it with a heavy steak as is recommended and it was a great pairing. However, I could not see myself drinking more than a single glass of any Malbec, simply because of the intensity. That’s not to take away from the wine, it was excellent, just a personal preference. — 4 days ago
Tried this in class, and I view it was a cheap option when you need a wine that really can’t go wrong. Definitely higher quality than I expected for the price point. It was pretty mild with some bitterness, but finished smooth. Once again, great option if I was in a pinch and needed something I knew could please most drinkers — 4 days ago
Ryan Mole
Drank this with Nate, as it was a cheap bottle and seemed easy to drink. It was surprisingly smooth with some lemon, and honestly a great deal for a price point of only $10. I would buy it again if I needed something easy to drink for a low price point. — 3 days ago
