For a 25 year old wine it had plenty of concentrated red fruit that lasted for over a minute. It also showcased earthiness, minerals, spices, with hints of leather and tobacco. Even though the grapes hung until October, it's not that typical super ripe California style. In fact, at only 13.1% alcohol it could easily fool people into thinking it was a stunning Bordeaux. We had it with frog's legs, escargot and roasted duck... This was an amazing wine that we enjoyed for hours. — 8 years ago
