Cherry twizzlers with a little spice. This wine is easy drinking and great with food. A little less acidity than I am used to in Barbera — 9 years ago

Structure held up and softened tannins just enough. Caught an unusually strong smell of sweet tobacco and licorice on the nose that made it stand out. — 9 years ago

Smooth cherries going in, tannins grip going down in best way. Could still use a couple of years. — 9 years ago

Crimson red to brick red. Shows its age a bit.

Strawberry and some earthy funk (mushroom?) on the nose.

Tastes more of cranberry and hints of clove. Smooth and fruity balanced by good acidity.

Nice dark cherry flavors and balanced throughout. Couldn't fully appreciate as it was an unexpected surprise at a neighborhood play date. — 9 years ago

Subtle nose with some plum and leather going on and nice hints of raspberries. Acidity and structure from tannins rule the day but some nice fruit on the finish.

Had some nice pizza with it and really complemented each other. Went from feeling OK to really enjoying. As is typical for many Italian wines, made to drink with food.
