Subtle nose with some plum and leather going on and nice hints of raspberries. Acidity and structure from tannins rule the day but some nice fruit on the finish.
Had some nice pizza with it and really complemented each other. Went from feeling OK to really enjoying. As is typical for many Italian wines, made to drink with food.

Not a big Chianti person, but I enjoyed the gift box this came in. Also, not bad. I have my favorites, but this isn't on that list.
