Made in Bordeaux but played like a Burgundy. Ripe fruit, rich texture, fine barrel integration, holding its pants even at a temperature around 10-12c.. considerable length - over 20 seconds. Price as jumped since last vintage, so did the quality. This wine can bluff a Burgundy amateur in blind tasting that's for sure; it does feel like a wine from Puligny. — 7 years ago
Really a very nice Napa Cabernet from a great vineyard site in a good drinking place age wise. On cork pop the oak was too overbearing - that sort of oaky sweetness that I don’t care for. But decanted for a couple hours as a result and quite nice after that. Deep violet in the glass. Deep dark fruit notes. Unmistakably Napa, for sure. Some glycerin feel. But a long finish with just enough acid to keep it together. I don’t often drink Napa cab, but on a fall day with burgers it’s hard to complain. — 4 years ago
Top WF @ £72 that showcases a near perfect classy Chablis that’s sure to get you horny in the 🌞 w/ 10yrs life in it 👍 better @ 10-12c 😉

Well, another Mike Smith wine; another stunner. Couldn't wait. Based on this one I'm going deep on the G3 12C. These are serious, complex, age worthy wines at a great price (for Napa and the single vineyard, and the quality of fruit and genius winemaking). — 9 years ago
Fruity, citrus, light, minerally acidic and salty. It is matched with sea food. It is good not in >12C. @900, Selco - Kawak, 190211-190301 — 6 years ago
A new Les Clos producer to me that’s a decent drop for £59 but feels it needs more time as very dry & mineral laden today which will be perfect for some 😉 I prefer William Fevre Les Clos for 💵😁 better @ 12C - decant 2hrs to free this wine 👍 Age will reward here 😉

The Rias Baixas Albariño with most character we have produced yet. The minerality and saltiness adds a depth to the classic fruity acidity and flowery tones of the region. Best drunk slightly "warm" 10-12C, as opposed to the recommended temperature for other regional wines (4-6C). Think of a stormy autumn night off the Rias Baixas coast, you'll feel the saltiness and sharp pine citrus of the maresía, the minerals of the earth and the chill in your bones. — 9 years ago

Clay amphorae aged Grenache - organic, unfiltered & unfined.
Cloudy and light in colour, slightly funky in the nose, with subtle fresh raspberry and light, sweet cherry, with an earthy, savoury character.
Light on the palate, fresh & vibrant, crunchy red fruit, juicy acidity, a hint of pleasant herby bitterness, an uplifting herbal finish. Room temp - nothing special.
But chilled down to 12C - ooooh! This is perfect with home made burgers! Such a cool flow!
Watch out - disappears in a whiff yet has 14% alc - seamlessly integrated & unnoticeable.
