Wrong wine in Delectable: this is not the "Vigneto Rocche" but the "Rocche dell'Annunziata", the famous La Morra vineyard that Accomasso and several other great producers make a little wine from.
This is classic and textbook Nebbiolo that shows the rounder plusher side to the La Morra tannin structure, though they are very present but starting to resolve. Beautiful notes of raspberry, cherry, tar and roses jingles with savory spices. Med/med+ ruby, then med+ all the way across the nose and palate to the finish. — 2 years ago
Barbaresco albeisa 2010
This Nebbiolo has a very light smokey aroma, with bright red current, cherry jolly rancher candy, porcini mushroom and black licorice.
Firm tannins and really nice acidity.
Could use another 5 year in the bottle.
I really enjoyed this wine! — 10 years ago
Not sure where I got this one but 13 yr old barberesco drinking within its window. Delicious. Perfectly balanced acid/tannin/fruit with more dark fruit than red. Tart plum with rose tar. Very nice. Mid palate a bit bitter but love the front and back end. Goes on and on. — 2 years ago
Pleasant surprise. Nice medium bodied red blend. — 9 years ago
Took 2+ hours to open up, but this was a very good Nebbiolo. Medium-full (14.5%) with pronounced and structured tannins, tart cherry, and perky, peppery acidity. A little hot and astringent on the nose, and a prickly mouthfeel. With pancetta white beans, Bella mushrooms and kale on crispy rustic bread + late heirloom caprese. Great early Fall meal! — a year ago
After this opens I like it. — 5 years ago
