Garnet to pink rim, clear and bright. Soft fragrant rose petals, baked cherry vanilla biscuit, closing out with a hint of licorice. Some nuttiness on the palate, with persistent alcohol-warmed cherries midway. Tart and grippy tannic finish. More bottle life awaits. Very very enjoyable, bringing back memories of La Morra last summer. Looking forward to our return to Piedmont!

バッドヴィンテージの2014。
他のヴィンテージは飲んでないので、比較コメントはできないのだが、
ドライフラワー的な少し熟成感はあれど、すごく瑞々しく透明感がある。
この数日前に、ロアーニャの2014ピラを飲んだが、タンニンはこちらの方が細く滑らかで、ネッビオーロの収斂的なのは、ほぼ感じない。

この辺は、4日間という短期マセレーションがそういうスタイルにさせるのかな？

ロアーニャの方が、いわゆるバローロらしい感じだが、これは軽やかながらも、奥行きがあって、上質感のあふれる味わい。

Astringent and out of balance, perhaps an off bottle. Bramble rhubarb and hay with green leaf notes... not typical for Nebbiolo. This wine doesn’t fall into the almost-Barbaresco Langhe wines, nor does it hit the fruit-forward Beaujolais-style Langhe wines of other producers (Elio Altare, etc). The price is right at Costco... I’ll wait for the upcoming 2019. — 4 years ago
