Revelatory Montepulciano with Italian essence but Bordeaux character. Medium bodied with earthy fruit and restrained tannins, combined with notes of leather and cedar box and a hint of soy sauce. Mouthwatering food wine; the 2013 vintage is definitely ready to enjoy now. First glass was at Mother Wolf in LA (date night with Dreama) and most recently a bottle at home with my own beef stroganoff on a Sunday night. What a way to top off the weekend! — 2 months ago
Austere was the first word that came to mind and then I saw it in @Tom Casagrande’s review as well (though of the previous vintage). Overall I still enjoyed it, but you have to be in the mood for a crisp, somewhat bitter, reclusive wine. — 2 months ago

Opened an unknown amount of time before being poured into a red Solo cup. No formal notes; obviously. The 2021 is varietally correct and leans heavily into the violets and pyrazines. There good structure and a solid finish. A wine of good character. Drink now through 2036. — 19 days ago
