One of Vinas Mora top wines, 100% Babić from some of their oldest vines (60+ years old vines) in the Primošten appellation, not far from Split, on Croatia’s northern Dalmatian coast. Vines are rooted in stony, limestone soils (Kaamen means rocks). Fermented with indigenous yeasts, some of it aged in neutral oak barrels for 12 months. Bright red fruit, candy, some earthy notes. Juicy, slightly savory — a year ago
Very black Pepper and blackberry nose. Full bodied, very delish with lamb, beef. Persisent finish, A very pleasant suprise. Excellent. Comparable to A Spanish Ribera de Duero. — 3 years ago
Per Ruffian wine list: Ocean-scented Chateauneuf meets aged Burgundy or Jura. Babic is usually a bit clunky with delicious chocolate and plum flavors: This one is the smoothest and sleekest I've had. From the emerging cru of Northern Dalmatia. — a year ago
Cadeau Evan. Lichte lunchwijn, houdt het midden tussen een grenache en pinot noir. Vin nature — a year ago
Light and floral, fantastic recommendations — 2 years ago
