Chamomile, honey, rain water nose. Cloudy pale yellow. Super soft mouth feel, with some skin contact notes. Yeasty banana bread, lemon. Drank at bacchanal on a lovely September night with George. — a year ago
Funky and fresh. Perfect beaujolais. Bought at the Bacchanal Beaujolais Fest in Nola in 2022. — 2 years ago
Subtle nose, preserved lemon and white peach, a little salty. Notes of dry vermouth, fennel, caper, dried apricot. Lovely and complex, struggled with tasting notes. Started sweeter but opened up to be more acidic. Drank at Bacchanal on a July night. — a year ago
First bottle since Saturday night’s bacchanal in tony West Des Moines (I still have 20+ wines to post)....it may be a combo of a great wine with low etoh and depriving myself for too long but this was just tremendous tonight. Formidable backbone and oozing balance, restraint and ripe red fruit. Floral dried cherry and pound cake. — 6 years ago

Love Santa Ynez wine country. The rustic unpretentious spirit of the region is reflected in the wines. This is a supple Cabernet with lavender and anise on the nose fading into savory herbs and berries. The sip is smooth. Balanced. Not overly tannic, acidic, or hot. Sorta melts into your tongue like dark chocolate. There is some earthy tones, gravel and graphite lingers. Perfect for a bacchanal or a Friday night on the sofa. — a year ago
