"Here the fruit is more deeply pitched with excellent nuance to the well-layered blue and black pinot fruit that also evidences hints of violets, earth and wet stone. There is a clean and polished mouth feel (in the best sense) to the energetic and saline-infused flavors that are shaped by ripe tannins on the mouth coating, dusty and balanced finish. Lovely wine that held up well over 10 years in the cellar. Subtle dark fruit and spice at this age, still had some zing. The last of my stock of these, may have to revisit some BH pinots — 4 years ago
