Impressive, lush, splendid Serbian Vranac Potrkanjski, aged 12 months in barriques. Best I ever had!
Brilliant garnet to purple color, carmine rim.
Expressive aromas of raspberry, cardamom, then vanilla, prunes, black currant, blackberry, wild vetch, cloves...
Very juicy berry-driven medium-bodied palate of perfect balance. Flavors of raspberry, black currant, cranberry, cherry, huckleberry, black gooseberry. Gentle oak touch.
Finishes persistently by juicy forest/garden berries with vanilla.

A nice soft fragrance of dark cherry, vanilla and strawberry. Drinks very smoothly with flavors of spice, dark berries/cherry. Opens up very nicely once it breathes and is easy to drink! — 7 years ago

Dark red color with a lovely complex nose and a dark body with a full complex body that took about a week to fully develop and integrate open under Vacuvin at room temperature but was worth the wait as it out rated a 1989 chateauneuf du Pape & a 1986 Cote-Rotie. Lovely long aftertaste. A bargain! 9.3/10 — 6 years ago

Authentic, lush & stupendous red by Russo-Swiss winery of Marina & Renaud Burnier - indigenous Krasnostop, aged 18 months in oak barrels.
Deep inky purple, dark carmine rim. Refined legs.
Constantly evolving nose: mulberry, saskatoon, sweet spices, black pepper, licorice, blueberry, black currant leaf, raspberry, flowers... chocolate.
Medium-plus body, well-structured and balanced. Mulberry, chokeberry, thorns, huckleberry, cocoa, raspberry, black cherry.
Lingering finish.
Paired lovely to Russian Black Angus rib eye steak with wild berry sauce. — 10 years ago

Last bottle. Classic varietal scents on the nose, restrained, underscored by forest floor. Carmine color, with ever so slightly bricking on the rim. Some cherry and strawberry on the palate, starting to give way to tertiary flavors. Medium acidity, and subtle tannins, almost fully resolved. Great balance, in a beautiful spot right now. Tremendous value. — 6 years ago
