Rating a day later. This is a big wine that needed a long decant. 4-5 hrs and it never really fully opened. What did open shows a great nose and layers of complexity. Silky smooth. Mostly red fruits with a bit of spice complementing a long finish. 60% Merlot and 40% Cab blend. It's also a wine that needs 3-5 yrs min and probably 10. — 6 months ago

In direct battle against de Pago (Otazu) on day 1 we thought more refinement in the Pago. The acids (lime zest) in the Bramare are very present on day 1.
Now on day 2 the air did its thing and it drinks beautifully! It remains fresh in style though.

This wine was part of the Spanish collection from the Bonner private Wine Partnership. This wine is it once the most subtle line in this entire collection, and the most complex. Complex. The nose is clean with a touch of spice. But on the palate, the weight of Navarra's history comes to bear like a crumbling donjon keep. No wonder this vintage has two gold medals."
