Aged for an average of 3 years under flor in the solera system and bottled en rama (unfiltered). Intense nose with notes of toasted almonds and yeast. Sharp, very dry and saline on the palate. Out of the stream high altitude wine (700m) from near Valencia; 75% monastrell, 25% garnacia. The latter was dominant on the nose with it's typical peppery black cherry, raspberry, and anise aromas. Would be a great tester at a blind tasting (I didn't even get close on the region). A delicately oaked and very interesting wine! — 10 years ago
