Rioja Garnacha 2018

Bodegas Navajas - Rioja - Garnacha 2018

Blackberry and licorice, that's a very inviting yet simple nose. The palate is well balanced with a strong acid backbone, a nice blackberry note alla long, a fine mouthfeel with a bit of grip, a mid palate in the shape of a powerball with that subtle, slightly caressing tannic wall, and a rather long finish with a pinch of salt. That's not bad!

Bodegas Montecillo

Reserva Rioja Tempranillo 2005

It’s been 2 years since I have tried this wine, still great as ‘05 was a great vintage. In 1874, Bodegas Montecillo was founded by Celestino Navajas. Deep Ruby, Aromas of red fruit, spice and earthy notes. Ripe Berry and Cherry with cacao and pepper spice. Soft tannins, lingering, good balanced, drinking great now. Good value. — 7 years ago

Bodegas Montecillo

Viña Cumbrero Crianza Rioja Tempranillo 2010

Founded by Celestino Navajas in 1874 in the town of Fuenmayor in Spain's Rioja Alta region, the major and most traditional winemaking region in Spain. Deep red with berry fruit and spice aromas. Cherry and plum with savory tannins, smooth texture on lingering finish ending with slight earthy tones. Nice value! — 8 years ago
