This is the Barton and Guestiet Richebourg that Delectable does not recognize. Surprisingly elegant but with flavors of dark chocolate! Probably over the hill — 4 years ago
Founded in 1880 by Augustus Quitzow, Sonoma's Geyser Peak is California's 29th bonded winery. Their Russian River Valley Pluto's Fury is GP's top Pinot Noir. From the Middle Reach of RRV (immediately south of Healdsburg and where the river exits Alexander Valley and enters RRV). Produced from vineyard sites situated among the Westside Road wineries and vineyards, including Williams Selyem's Estate, J. Rochioli, Bacigalupi, Bucher, Allen, and Flax vineyards (to name just a few). While this won't be mistaken for Selyem or Rochioli, it's quite representative of the locale, with copious amounts of black cherry, clove, charred oak, with some secondary baking spice and barbecue smoke. The silky, yet structured mouthfeel works wonders, accentuating every curve. — 7 years ago

Christmas dinner! Bought from Costco for 60 bucks. Really bold and full bodied for a Pinot! Black and red fruit, leather, pepper, oak, very acidic and long — 3 years ago
Beautiful wine. You can really taste the Bucher grapes in this one. — 7 years ago
Spectacular wine! First pour was fruity and tart acting like a newly bottled Pinot. Amazing for a 14 year old bottle. But with a bit of air it transformed into a luscious full bodied smooth treat with a lovely bouquet of fruit and ripe earth. The finish just kept going. Enjoyed with a hunk of prime rib. — 10 months ago
