Splash decanted this 1993 La Tache and consumed over the next four hours. Aromatically brilliant and loads of promise but still young — 22 days ago
With a four hour decant this 2001 Rousseau Chambertin was ethereally light with a good finish but not as complex or the signature sappy fruit associated with Rousseau. A good wine not great. Next time will use a two hour decant — a month ago
Clos St Denis. Slow ox for 30 minutes. Excellent technique — 5 hours ago
For a Puligny quite brilliant! Easily outperformed the Dujac Combottes — a month ago
With a five hour decant the 2009 Rousseau Chambertin wine was brilliantly aromatic, dense, intense and some level of complexity. Next time will try 2 hour decant but this wine has a long road ahead! — a month ago
Perfect bottle in decanter for dinner at Chez TJ. We did initially enjoy a sparkling and half bottle of a Meursault to give some time and the aromatics of this was quite possibly one of the best ever! Loved the complexity but it still has a long road ahead! — 2 months ago
Another brilliant bottle! Fantastic aromatically, loads of multilayer complexity with a long finish — 22 days ago
Simply brilliant! 2 hours slow ox and drank over the next three aromatically a bit dark, nose of tar, tobacco, dried rose petals wonderfully beautifully mid palate brilliantly balanced the wine is simply amazing! — a month ago
A big wine! Four hour decant was just right for this 1998 edition! — a month ago
