The 2017 showed what one might expect. Not Napa’s best. However, I do not think many quality 2017 producers deserved the early criticism. Most 2017’s are now showing better than they did young. The issue with this 2017 was its finish, not long and somewhat angular.

Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim and light intensity.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Showing raspberries, cherries, spices, peppercorn, chocolates, oak, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco, espresso and cola.
Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
A nice and easy drinking Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Elegant and good by itself or with food.
Showing nice complexity, soft and smooth. Very enjoyable, fruit forward and elegant.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
