Medium ruby , with quite a light garnet ruby rim . This has quite a meaty nose , with spiced currants , dried rose and menthol hints . On the palate this show similar in style to the nose with red plum , dried cherry , menthol and liquorice notes . This is quite rustic though serious in style with slightly drying tannins and fresh acidity along with a touch of alcohol noticable on the palate . Medium length with a spiced dried cherry finish . Showing well now , needs some food to round out the structure , but will continue to drinking well over the next 5 or so years — 5 days ago

2017 vintage. Not the greatest Brunello vintage but an above average producer that likes to roll the fruit out in front of the masses. Surprisingly solid on the back end with a finishing exeunt/kick in the head. Wanted to say no but couldn't. Young ruby of pretty clarity. Very meaty and savory nose, plus black soil and mineral aromas. Incredible parade of flavors, showing very frank fruit, wild berries flavors, combined with beautiful volcanic rock minerality and phenomenal structure. Certainly a baby Brunello, at a great price.
