English sparkling wine! Very very tasty! — 12 years ago
Soft plum and dry cavendish tobaccos. Tasted at Cafe Madrid. — 5 years ago
The spoils of riches continued Friday night with this being opened toward the end. I actually found this to be a touch more youthful than the ‘05 I had about a year ago. At this point in its life, red fruit emerges and dominates...dusty black cherry and high-percentage dark chocolate covered raspberries. The palate revealed bay leaf and dates with a mid palate that was surprisingly dense and powerful. The finish was heavy on cherry-vanilla cavendish pipe tobacco. This likely deserved a table to its own! — 6 years ago
Touch of funk as expected with age. Muddled Black cherries, vanilla cavendish tobacco leaves, dates and bruised plum aromatics. On the palate, it’s integrated and ready now. Channeling an herbal and leather type profile alongside black cherry tart, baking spices, fig but an appearance of a slightly spicy finish toward the end. Gained heft and fruit as it opened. If you have any, now is the time to open before they fall off a cliff. — 5 years ago
Clove, cassis, sweet smoked dark cherry Cavendish tobacco. Massive assault. The hearty alcoholic, bourbon-soaked fruit profile becomes forgivable because of the density and depth. Lingers nicely, albeit on the bombastic side. — 9 years ago
Good Rhone valley wine. After half hour aeration I get pool toy, cherry cavendish, and I can slightly taste the leather another reviewer mentioned. Take note this review was written after drinking the whole bottle myself. Buy it! — 10 years ago
