2020 vintage. Owned by the Castel family, with 22 hectares of vines ( Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot). An ambitious Bordeaux Supérieur, with obvious oak (50% new), but better integrated compared to Château Devise d'Ardilley 2016 tasted alongside. It features a serious fruit concentration, freshness, and a certain complexity, with the oak coming up strong again in the finish. In my opinion, it would make sense to reduce the new oak a bit, not only for the fruit to shine more, but also cost wise, as this quality wine sells for less than 10 euro! It is very impressive for the price already, but I feel there is potential to push the quality even higher. Abv. 14%. — a day ago
Delicate bouquet of dusty dark fruit. Quick dry middle of a sweet 1 second burst of blackberry and tobacco. With a dusty dry tannic ( tobacco?) finish. — 10 months ago
