This was definitely outstanding amount over 40 bottles from around the world that were top notch at Martin & Christine's get together of Delectable wine enthusiasts. Incredible guys! — 8 years ago
@Mike Rowe @David A Lentine @Kirk Alexander @Ron R In my opinion., this was the 2nd place finisher in tonight's lineup. I Decanted all of the bottles with the exception of the Sena at 3pm. They all had 5+ hours to spread their wings and amaze us. This one certainly did. Massive and wound really tight at 3pm BUT it was flying as gracefully as a Monarch butterfly at 8pm. Awesome., awesome wine. Incredible producer. It Paired perfectly with Christine's homemade spaghetti sauce. — 8 years ago

@Ted Mandes @Steve Colanero @Christine Christine's WOTN. Such an elegant example of a superb old world wine. This was next to an Aubert PInot and the differences were amazing! Balance, harmony, integration, beautiful subtle notes vs. the Aubert Pinot. Christine stated that she preferred this to Aubert! Amazing bottle. I'm not sure how much evolution can be gained from further aging. I think it reached its max. Stunning! — 8 years ago
Very full bodied. Delicious blackberry current and very fruit forward. Has the flavoring of a Zinfandel. — 9 years ago
My brother in-law,Bob, standing next to me in blue brought this beauty to the party last night: 2010 Shafer Hillside Select.
What an incredibly well made wine with nuances and layers which seemed endless! We kept talking about this wine all night! What a great side by side comparison it was against the 2009 Chateau L'Evangile! 100 point Bourdeaux & 100 point Cali !!!
I picked up a super faint nose of petrol which intrigue the hell out of me all night! It was awesomeness in a glass!! The palate was gorgeous with highlights of dark fruit, vanilla and a little bit of minerality which was perfectly intertwined into the body of this beauty. The finish was long and strong.
Thank you Bob for sharing this beauty from your cellar in celebration of Christine's Birthday!! — 7 years ago

Superior mead, fair disclaimer I made it. It’s a subtle sweet mead with a great fruity flavor. Not complicated just well rounded. real fruit used along with higher grade of honey. — 5 years ago
