The front label says “En Remont.” Back label says “Vignes de 1939.” Delectable has them as two different wines so I’m not sure which is which. Anyway, this is very fragrant, ripe, and densely fruity. Not jammy, thought the acids are on the low side. So while complexity and subtlety is not it’s calling card there is a lot to like here. — a year ago

2009, Julie Balagny, En Remont, Jean Barrat, Fleury, Gamay. No notes, but an excellent Cru Beaujolais. Red fruit, a little spice and a little earthy. Great story about Julie Balagny. Took her dog, got a vineyard, works it all by herself and makes great Cru Beaujolais. — 8 years ago
