@delectable this is the Voile De Chardonnay
Not going to write notes. But, if you are bored with the ridged structure of Ca Chardonnay from the hotter climate and over use of 100% oak, try a good Jura Chardonnay. Many of the Jura examples are a blend of Savagnin & Chardonnay. This is 100% Chardonnay. It rides the fence of Ca Chardonnay & Burgundy with a lean into Ca Chardonnay without the horrible 100% new oak. It has the mineral structure of White Burgundy (Chassagne-Montrachet) and the feel of a lesser oaked well made Ca Chardonnay. — 2 years ago
Lovely light red with the right amount of tannin. Fresh plum skin nose. — 4 years ago
A David Trumper recommended wine, great bottle for $16.00 at K&L Notes from K&L as follows Each Carline wine is a reflection of the blue marl soil and its unique top soil. The Calvaire is the most classically Jura, showing leesy and nutty tones with searing minerality. This is the most cerebral of the single parcel Chardonnays with subtLe nuances that make you keep coming back to the glass. My tasting notes equate this to 1er Cru Chablis but still very Jura in its overall character. A puzzle worth solving for sure! — 2 years ago

White from Jura is quite distinctive where I sometimes think of it as a hybrid of old style Rioja white and Chablis. Ripe yellow peach, lime, quince, yeast, and subtle roasted nuts. The palate is textured yet intense with sharp acidity. Long finish with a bit saltiness towards the end.
