White from Jura is quite distinctive where I sometimes think of it as a hybrid of old style Rioja white and Chablis. Ripe yellow peach, lime, quince, yeast, and subtle roasted nuts. The palate is textured yet intense with sharp acidity. Long finish with a bit saltiness towards the end.
Gaillardon, located Château Chalon AOC, is co-planted with 50% Chardonnay and 50% Savagnin.
