Rich nose with ripe black and blue berries fruit, herbal notes, tobacco, authum forest, touch of fine cedar, stil very young right now ofcourse but the palate show a great intensity with layers of ripe black fruits, licorice, Llicorella, ripe fine tannin and a fantastic freshness 95 DSP. Value purchase from the local coop; gave it a chance. Good black and red fruit on the nose. Moderate pigment extraction with very good clarity for a red this dark. Deep red with a purple tinge, maybe. Nice red fruit in mouth, moving toward cherry and raspberry jam with fine seed bitterness on the finish. Starts tart on initial pour, but still assessing. Fruity but not fruit-forward (if one can make that distinction). Curious to see where this goes with some O2 and polymerization. Remains tart through first hour, though tannin structure emerges (raised rating). And that’s all she wrote. A good red, but shy of greatness. Good structure and fruit, and thankfully not overoaked. — 4 months ago
