What a treat! Purchased at winery, bottle aged fattened up this wine in a Degas way: graceful, effusive, silky & sexy. Darker greenish/yellow hued pungent aromatics of flowers & musk, spices & lychee, orchard fruit, tangerine rind, incense - just so exotic. Lush mouthfeel sturdy acidic backbone and long caressing finish. Love these varietals together — 8 months ago

Had this pesky damp vanilla note at first (like the one I've experienced on '10 Domain Wardy Beqaa Syrah.) But this subsided over time to reveal overripe red fruit and gripping tannin. Not sure if oak if the off-note culprit here. Very distinctive. — 7 years ago
