Third wine at Oakton this afternoon and second white. Slightly darker than the 2015 Celler Xavier Clua Terra Alta Il lusió, still clear and pale yellow with a beige hue. Very interesting nose with some sea shells, not like the ocean, more like mussels. Complex palate with some savory notes to start that opened up with some hay, white flowers, honey suckle, and undertones of white fruits. Moderate acidity (6.5/10) with a moderate plus body. Definitely seems like a food wine and packs a punch. Long and lingering dry finish. Absolutely delicious Garnatxa Blanca. Drink till 2023. — 8 years ago
