Our favorite spot in all of Fort Worth finally allows BYOB! Needless to say, my wife and I were stoked! We decided to give something new a try, so we busted out this bottle we received in a trade with @Greg Ballington . I don't know much about this winery, but this is a nice little bottle. I don't recommend pop'n'pouring this, but after an hour it really opened nicely. Nose was a bit muted...mainly violet, floral notes, blackberry fruit. Not overly complex and the tannins aren't overbearing at all. Solid texture on the palate with a rush of licorice and underbrush, and then it dissipates to a very dark fruit and mocha sweet note. Curious to see how it tastes on day 2. Thanks for this, Greg! — 7 years ago

@Peggy Hadley : Small, authentic style bistro off Magnolia Ave in Fort Worth. Live jazz music in the evenings. All types of food like burgers, quail, and steak. Voted best fries in Fort Worth (Gorgonzola waffle fries) and best dessert (donuts with coffee ice cream). A MUST if in Fort Worth!

@Greg Ballington : Day 2 brought subtle but welcomed changes. Nose is much more aromatic...big fruit and toast. Palate isn't much different, but quite a bit more smooth. I'd go 9.3 on day 2. Simple but very enjoyable Napa cab!
