In 1990, Daniel & Florence Cathiard now own estate. A blend of 55% Cab Sauv, 40% Merlot, 4% Cab Franc, & 1% Petit Verdot. Dark red with dark berry fruit aromas, cedar and sweet spice. On the palate rich & complex ripe black fruit flavors, oak & cacao. Firm rich tannins, full, lingering, perfect balance. L-T aging. — 7 years ago

Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
George III is my least favorite vineyard from the Grand Cru Beckstoffer site however, @Mike Smith has done a magnificent job with this offering and changes all that. 2 hour decant and the tannins are supporting the wine and nearly not in play. I can’t get over the balance of this wine...fruit, acid and tannins are in perfect harmony. Nice offering! — 6 years ago

Blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot aged in 20% new oak, deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry, herbs and earthy spice. On the palate flavors of plum, cherry & currant with notes of pepper, tobacco & cacao notes. Soft rich full tannins, long finish ending with fruit, earthy and mineral character, needs a little more time. — 2 months ago
