1999: Yeah. Outstanding 25-year old Barolo still an explosion of Nebbiolo flavor. Brick color but plenty of depth, with strawberry fruit well-balanced by typical leather and tar. A treat now, and wouldn’t wait any longer. — a year ago
An experience. Intense morello and crimson fruit with lithe structure and a mushroomy edge. Memorable meal. — 2 months ago
I might have had three glasses of this before I realized others at the table might want some of it. — 7 months ago
A serious balsamicy bottling that needs air and food. Critically hard to beat. — 3 months ago
Delightful pasta wine — appealed to both the “chilled red” crowd and the piedmont drinkers, especially when you don’t want to break the bank with a barolo or barbaresco — 7 months ago
Muscular and powerful, but quite approachable. Will gain more complexity, I’m sure, but delicious anyway. — 5 years ago

Really a lovely Barolo. Last had 2 years ago. Opened 4 hours in advance, no decant. Don’t think it needed it either - this is quite seamless. Lighter color in the glass, but with a clarity that is obvious. Aromatically a lot of lighter red fruit and some earth. Palate has real depth with good acid and medium tannins with a very long finish. Quite delicious and a perfect pairing with some grilled campo grande pork marinated with garlic and rosemary. — 14 days ago
