Classic 2016 vintage expression in a traditional manner. Clay, iron and high acid in beginning stages followed by the luscious la morra cherry fruit that harmoniously combines into the glass after a bit opened. 2015s obviously more fruit forward and balsamic notes right away . Interesting the way some of these 2004s are evolving. There seems to be such an intense tannic extract and grip while some of the fruit is dissapearing prematurely in a kinda oxidative way. Maybe a slightly off bottle but Still enjoyable and fun but had higher hopes for this 2004 and others as well. — 5 years ago
