Wowzers. Citrus, peat, oak, nutmeg, vanilla, pepper, oloroso sherry, bramble, Black Fruit, honey, etc etc. there’s so much going on in there it’s expansive and a bit transcendent! Outstanding — 5 years ago
This is Batch 4 which I like. First glass out of the bottle and I don’t care what people say, whisky needs air. This got better in the glass. I am confident it will get even better in a month. It’s peaty but although they say heavily I think it’s just right. Tasty but the palate is light and it’s not a strong finish. You need to like peat. — 2 months ago
This is one of Kilkerran’s heavily peated batches, I think they are up to batch 9. If the rest of them taste this good then one should grab whatever you can get. Interesting the nose on this one keeps changing for me and all in a good way. Despite being called heavy peat, it’s mild to me. Really delightful aroma I got oats and vanilla to start and now salted caramel seems to dominate. The flavor is great, sure there is some heat but tamed especially given the level. More salted caramel, a full, well rounded finish that goes on and on. No burn but it hits the tongue hard. Distillery - Glengyle

I like this very much. Bought after a private tour of the distillery. Only because nobody else signed up!
