Great CdP.
Intense purple color with a little Garnet.
Pleasure of aroma. Black and red fruits, a little plum, a little seasoning, a little candy .. lovely.
Medium to full body, powerful, round, floral, fruity, medium tannins, so is the acidity, long and delightful finish.
A delicious wine, paired with chocolate and heartfelt wishes for the new year.
I loved it

Begins with a subtle front end - subtle but not weak, for it still has the strength to lug some deep fruity heft along for the ride. That welcoming party then paves the way for a surprisingly solid body that comfortably hangs out without overstaying its welcome. It's not spicy or tangy, but has enough tannins to give it an almost devious tinge - like the memorable best man speech that expertly navigates the line between classy heartfelt sentiment and salacious stories of youth. It leaves the party with a dry escape, disappearing quickly but not impolitely. All in all, a great dinner guest. I also have no idea what I'm talking about. — 10 years ago
We’re pausing on goodness and hope today. We hold so much gratitude in our hearts for our loved ones and their presence in our lives. We want to share a heartfelt thanks to you all who’ve supported and inspired us day in and day out. 🙏🙏💕💕
Today we had a vegan Thanksgiving bowl of roasted carrots, acorn squash, brussels sprouts, and broccoli, along with mashed yams, potatoes, toasted pecans, pomegranate, cranberry sauce (with orange zest), and thyme-spiced gravy. 🍁🍁🍁
With it we paired a couple of options each of which went well with the flavors, textures, and elements of the meal… here’s the Gamay…
Famille Dutraive, Fleurie Lieu Dit, Les Deduits 2019. ABV 14.5%. Organically farmed, old vine gamay. Intensely fruity with an abundance of bright cherry, strawberry, cranberry, banana, kirsch on the nose and palate, with noteworthy acidity, high alcohol, soft tannins and notes of vanilla, cinnamon, developed while aging 6 months in oak. Whole cluster, carbonic fermentation 👏👏

Lionel Faury, Côte-Rôtie, 2018. ABV 13%. Comprised of 90% Syrah and 10% Viognier, from the Northern Rhône Valley, France. Matured 18 months in oak, 30% of which was new. The oak maturation comes across on the nose and palate with notable vanilla, cedar, butterscotch, and caramel notes. Also notes of blackberry, black cherry, plum, black licorice, violet, pepper, smoke / matchstick, and clay pot. 👌👌 — 3 years ago

Pale golden straw. Immediate whiff of gunpowder wafts past lemon zest and warm juice undercoats; lemon verbena, living sage, chive, and colored pencil. Palatal silk evaporates to spongey pith of lime in a magically, porously, dry transformation shimmering with crystalline suggestions and smoky allusions.long and heartfelt reverberations beyond its last drops.
