Gladstones Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

I have several previous notes for this 2010 and a couple for 2008. Houghton I believe is possibly the oldest winery in WA based in the Swan River on the outskirts of Perth. Established in 1836. It would be many years later before wine was being produced in Margaret River. However the grapes for this Cabernet came from Margaret River. As I said see previous notes but I did love Gary Walsh’s review of this wine from the “Winefront” when he said “Sends the Cabernet enthusiasts among us just a little bit wild.” — 4 days ago

Sweet Classic Late Picked Verdelho 2016

Almost syrupy in consistancy, this has a rich passionfruit taste on the palate which matches its tropical aromas — 8 years ago

Jack Mann Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Developing very nicely and this will be a great Jack Mann. Elegant, layered integrated tannins but yet a well structured and powerful Cabernet Sauvignon lots of high scores from the local West Australian critics like Ray Jordan.

Crofters Cabernet Merlot 2001

Clear, deep garnet colour. Clean, pronounced black fruit and cedar aromas. Dry, medium acidity and tannins that are very balanced. Medium bodied with long finish. Black fruits with hints of cassis, mocha and lovely oak flavours. An outstanding wine considering the price. Went very well with bbq rib eye. — 5 years ago

Crofters Frankland River Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Great drinking at $15 street price. Sandy tannin, medium bodied dark and fresh fruited, balanced and lasts in the bottle for days. Think I need to buy some more! — 7 years ago
