Very nice. — 7 years ago
Very nice to drink. Perfect balance of sweet and dry. Light flavor, could be a little stronger. Perfect to drink as is, might be too sweet for mimosas. Ivan likes a lot as well (8). — 8 years ago
Wow. Burgundy on the nose but drinks like a fine aged Bordeaux. So many flavors. — 3 years ago
If you like the local variety - žlahtina, you have to try this sparkling wine made from the same grape. It's as fresh and as light as the still version but the bubbles add an extra layer. — 5 years ago
My first Croatian?! Interesting to say the least, the biotryus/noble rot easily identifiable; petrol, beeswax, but without the viscosity.Kinda cool. — 8 years ago
Dog Point Vineyard combines experience of Ivan and Margaret Sutherland & James and Wendy Healy. Ivan and James met while working at Cloudy Bay Vineyards. Light straw with typical SB aromas adding a touch of smoky mineral character. On the palate melon and grapefruit with lemon/lime notes, generous acidity, great mouthfeel with lingering finish ending with an earthy tone. Exceptional value! — 9 years ago
Ivan notes. Creosote finish with strong tannins and oak. — 5 years ago
A semi-sweet young wine, very fresh and light-bodied. It tastes like actual grapes. — 5 years ago

“Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid” (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe). I’m pretty sure Manfred took Wolfgang’s advice and that’s why I absolutely love the man. Vintage after vintage, wine after wine, pure perfection. Manfred’s wines demand your attention. Manfred’s wines stimulate your senses. Manfred’s wines force you to think. Manfred’s wines make you smile. It just doesn’t get any better! (That’s big Ivan in the background. Love and miss that big guy.) — 8 years ago

Strong cherry nose with bold undertones of wet hay, mud, manure and crushed granite or asphalt. Color of dark cherry, medium bodied, with a strong tannic palate that immediately dries the tongue and top of the mouth. Palette is sharp and prominent, with notes of brandy and dark cherry, pepper, sharp acidity, with a short finish with notes of dark chocolate, iron and bloody meat at the edges. — 9 months ago
