Initial fruit aroma made me wary, but, with breathing, this was an enjoyable, drinkable cab, by itself and with dinner. Abby recommended. — 5 years ago
Fruit is from the Rocks District near Walla Walla. Aromas of dill pickles, caramel, black currant and dark cherry. Same flavors as above with hints of tar, black pepper, smoked meat and tobacco. Hint of dark chocolate on the finish. Balanced acidity and long finish. Dark purple color. Nice! Revisited in October 2020. Still Outstanding! Revisited again in May 2023. Aging gracefully! Revisited again in December 2023. Excellent!! — 6 years ago

Such a fun festive wine! Very different - sweet and spicey - dessert like for sure! — 9 years ago
Nice balanced SB with angular acidic profile but also an underlying streak of earthy fruity profile. Opened for Wil/Abby first visit to FH. 11/14/21. — 5 years ago
Emma and I drank this and both found it very good and would buy again. Good on its own as it caused us to consider its layers. Of the case of reds we had Abby at City Vineyards pick out, this was a stand out. — 5 years ago

Enjoyed 2 bottles of 2013 with William/Abby and Allison/Ollie. Paired magnificently with rib roast dinner. Full bodied without being overpowering, well balanced, full of fruit. — 4 years ago
I think Abby suggested this one as a sub for The Chief. Very good, balanced, interesting. Would buy again. — 5 years ago
Wonderful Spanish wine for Easter 2020 with Abby, Dorie, mom and I. Beautiful earthly smell with lead pencil tastes. Well balanced and moderately dry. A definite rebuy. — 6 years ago

Baritone and lush, the 2014 Rock Wall Jack's Dry Creek Petite Sirah is a spicy melange of juicy black cherries, plums, cedar, and bay leaf. Inky and dark in the glass, this Sonoma County red is equally hedonistic on the palate, a riot of black fruit and ripe tannins pierced by a jaunty vein of acidity. 14.8% ABV | Sample — 9 years ago

Special name, special occasion. Love ‘12 CA Cabs and this one especially. Surreal power for age 14. Still dense fruit, good balance but still more tilt and less finesse. Maybe better in 3-5 years but shows the heft of a well made Napa Cab. — 4 months ago
