1hr+ decant. After 3 hours the high alcohol finally blew off and the wine blossomed.

Dark red color. Awesome nose of candied cherries, graphite, bramble, and dirt. The alcohol still present on the palate with big tannins. Has some Italian elements. Good depth and long finish. — 7 months ago

PnP. Dark red color. Dark cherries and rustic throughout. Had a little baking spice and some cedar. High quality, but the higher alcohol was a detractor. Lovely texture. — 2 years ago

Decant for sediment(some fine/cloudy sediment). A sublime dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: dark plum, mint, licorice, smoked meat, floral, wet cedar. Taste: smooth, creamy wine with subtle blackberry/plum, cedar, pepper, graphite, and a dark bitter chocolate dry medium plus finish. Drink em if you got em, fruit is fading....nice price for a Beckstoffer To Kalon. — 3 years ago

Weekend wine with parents continued. I didn’t have to think long when trying to decide what wine to bring for my short weekend visit. I picked Bacio Divino because it is always a crowd pleaser. The wine is described as being one that “Cabernet devotees as well as those who appreciate artful blends can enjoy.” I agree 💯. My mom describes this wine as being “delicious” — winner.

Bacio Divino is lead by the husband and wife team, Claus and Diane Janzen. This wine is their flagship wine that uses Cabernet sourced from Beckerstoff’s Heritage Oakville and Rutherford vineyards. The wine also includes a small amount of Sangiovese and Merlot.

2016 details: 94% Cabernet, 5% Sangiovese, 1% Merlot. 14.6% ABV. Kirk Venge is a consulting winemaker. 215 cases. — 3 years ago
