#viellesvignes #bourgognerouge Scored this bottle at a Houston restaurant at a decent retail price. Case labeling suggests Gevrey-Chambertin but the grapes are clearly classified only as Burgundy red - nevertheless a delicious Pinot Noir - cherry pie filling, raspberry preserves and baking spice, cinnamon aromas. Taste rolls into rich red fruit, some GC power and moderate tension rolling into robust tannins on a long finish. Pairing with moderately spicy Moroccan Tagine-style chicken thighs with Israeli couscous was as magnificent as you can imagine - cinnamon and baking spice throughout. — 4 years ago
Simply delicious. — 5 years ago
That's a fun Bourgogne côte de beaune ! Vanilla, a toasty thing, cherry and hay. The palate is made of a huge acid drive, a persistent vanilla note, a bright cherry push all over the place. A good width, a nice a'd soft mouthfeel with caressing tannins in mid palate, a long finish with fruit, vanilla and a slightly drying tannic effect. This is textbook classic lovely burgundy Pinot and it's so good! — 3 years ago

Elegant aroma, fruits and herb. Taste is powerful, strawberry and other red fruits flavor. More 5 years should make it better. 2012 @, 302, 210416 — 4 years ago
Wonderful. Drinking on a special occasion on New Year’s Day. You can taste the smooth old vines and primo Pinot. — 4 years ago
Second time trying this. Wow! For a young Pinot, it’s smooth and full of flavor. When you taste it you understand the higher price. It’s more fully bodied than many Pinots and works quite well with food. 😋 — 4 years ago
