Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days and consistent throughout. It’s been almost 5 years since I last enjoyed one of these and I’d say it’s held up very well! The 2014 currently pours a turbid, deep straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with tart and ripe tropical and orchard fruit: comice pear, peach and pineapple, raw yogurt, yellow flowers, burnt rubber and undigested hay. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid and ever so slightly effervescent; perhaps some unintended secondary fermentation? This quickly dissipated in the glass. The finish is long and tart. Drink now through 2029. — 2 months ago
