A Swiss descendant of the gamay, sharing with it the gouleyant character. For the rest: dark ruby color, (half dyer grape variety) a certain clarity with brilliance. Nose between black and red fruits, roasted liquorice notes almost coffee. Beautiful rather fine bouquet with vegetable notes zest of citrus, all in finesse. Beautiful vinification and fresh finish, for a wine to drink on youth.

Un descendant suisse du gamay, partageant avec celui-ci le caractère gouleyant. Pour le reste: robe rubis sombre, (cépage demi teinturier) une certaine limpidité avec de l’éclat. Nez entre fruits noirs et fruits rouges, notes réglissées torréfiées quasi café. Beau bouquet assez fin aux notes végétales zeste d’agrume, tout en finesse. Belle vinification et finale fraîche, pour un vin à boire sur la jeunesse. — 4 years ago

Ruby, Violin, translucent and vibrant color. Gilliard is a Swiss domain in Valais. Cuvée honoring the fruit. Seductive nose on the freshness of youthful Syrahs: violet, lupine, blueberry and mountain berries... with aeration, pepper imposes itself along the entire length of the palate carrying a loose body without looking like it. The acidity is lively and brings charm to this tasting. The winemaking is fine and controlled. Northern expression of the syrah full of nuances, with contained strength.

Robe Rubis, Violine, translucide et éclatante.
Gilliard est un domaine Suisse du Valais. Cuvée mettant le fruit à l’honneur. Nez séduisant sur la fraicheur des Syrah de jeunesse: violette, lupin, myrtille et baies des montages.. avec l’aération le poivre s’impose sur toute la longueur du palais portant
un corps ample sans en avoir l’air. L’acidité est vive et apporte du charme à cette dégustation. La vinification est fine et maîtrisée. Expression septentrionale de la syrah tout en nuances, avec une force contenue. — 4 years ago

Cornalin: Swiss grape variety. Ruby dress, shiny. Very nice balance between primary notes of red fruits, and rearing notes evoking caramel and cinnamon. A parcellar cuvée carried by a tense minerality balancing the tasting. The final displays semi-bodied tannins. Somewhere between Grenache and a Pinot-noir type Marsannay, Mercurey or Givry

Cornalin: cépage Suisse endémique. Robe rubis, brillante. Très bel équilibre entre des notes primaires fruits rouges, et notes d’élevage évoquant le caramel et la cannelle. Cuvée parcellaire portée par une minéralité tendue équilibrant la dégustation. La finale déploie des tanins semi-corsés. Gamaret, a rare grape from Switzerland🇨🇭 . A descendant of Gamay, it shares a certain lightness with it, and this peppery freshness. Here the color is dark ruby, dense. With a delicious acidity linked to the thermal amplitude, we have here notes of crunchy red / black fruits. Typical aging of Swiss wines: woody but not oak. Cloves, caramel, liquorice, Fruit / tannin balance. Pleasant with salads, vegetarian dishes, cheeses / cold cuts, fish, white meats. The only question remains the price which remains high compared to neighboring countries: Italy, France for this level of quality, (30/40% more expensive at least)

Gamaret, cépage rare originaire de suisse. Descendant du gamay, il partage avec celui-ci une certaine légèreté, et cette fraîcheur poivrée. Ici la robe est rubis foncée, dense. Dotée d’une acidité gourmande lié à l’amplitude thermique, on a ici des notes de fruits rouges/noirs croquants. Élevage typique des vins helvétiques: boisé mais pas Chêne. Girofle, caramel, réglisse, Équilibre fruit/tanins. Agréable sur des salades plats végétariens, fromages/charcuterie, poissons, viandes blanches. La seule question reste toujours le prix qui reste élevé comparé aux pays voisins : Italie, France pour ce niveau de qualité, (30/40% plus cher au moins) — 6 years ago

Pretty purple dress. First superb nose both fresh and peppery on small black blueberry, blackcurrant, violet flower; then more surprising notes on mountain climates and stink in Switzerland for me. It evokes more southern notes of syrah, such as Cornas, St-Joseph, bacon and smoke without the graphite charcoal side. Really a beautiful cuvée that connects two types of syrah usually tasted. The mouth is fluid. Cuvée full of charm with certainly cold extraction to infuse the fruit to the maximum without excess alcohol. Congratulations Switzerland once again! 🙏🇨🇭

Jolie robe pourpre. Premier nez ouvert à la fois frais et poivré, petits fruits noirs myrtille, cassis, violette; puis des notes plus surprenantes sur les climats de montagnes évoquant les syrah plus sudistes (Cornas, St-Joseph): lard, fumée sans le côté charbon graphite. Une belle cuvée faisant la jonction entre deux types de syrah habituellement goûtées. La bouche est fluide et salivante. Cuvée pleine de charme avec certainement une extraction à froid pour infuser le fruit au maximum sans excès d’alcool. Bravo la Suisse encore une fois ! 🙏🇨🇭 — 4 years ago

We ended the evening with this beautiful Swiss testimony that has nothing to envy to fine French wines. My wine-loving friends and I appreciated this beautiful balance between the freshness of a young wine and the depth of a grape variety reminiscent of Cabernet-franc or Syrah from altitude. A greedy and dense wine, on black fruits with a nice salivating freshness, reminding us that although confidential, Swiss production should be taken seriously. Well done, it's superb! Nice finesse between fruit / caramel and spices.

Nous avons fini la soirée sur ce beau témoignage helvétique qui n’a rien à envier aux beaux vins français. Mes amis amateurs de vins et moi-même avons apprécié ce bel équilibre entre fraîcheur d’un vin vin jeune et profondeur d’un cépage qui rappelle le Cabernet-franc ou la Syrah d’altitude. Un vin gourmand et dense, sur les fruits noirs avec une belle fraîcheur salivante, nous rappelant que bien que confidentielle, la production suisse est à prendre au sérieux. Bravo c’est superbe! Diolonoir: another grape variety typical of Switzerland. Dark and purple color, brilliant. On the nose, black fruits (blackcurrant) dominate. It's a superb balance between density and freshness. With a good length, this is a wine that can age pleasantly over 5, 8 years.

This is not a straight Cornalin, it is an assemblage. « Assemblage de cépages nobles, Elevé en foudre de chêne suisse» and in Swiss oak rather than French. The Cornalin and Humane Rouge blend well with the Syrah. There is a spicyness that leads to a soft but medium long finish. — 6 years ago

A charming PN quite typical of Swiss Valais. Light ruby color with a beautiful shine. Nose: red fruit a little spicy. Lively mouth strawberry, raspberry, licorice, with a beautiful aromatic extraction/concentration. A wine that is both light, fresh, with fine and gouleyant tannins, and length in the mouth A nice treat to serve a little refreshed.

Un charmant PN assez typique du Valais Suisse. Robe rubis légère au bel éclat. Nez fruit rouge un peu épicé. Bouche vive fraise, framboise, réglisse, avec une belle extraction aromatique, de la concentration. Un vin à la fois léger, frais, avec des tanins fins et gouleyant, et de la longueur en bouche Une belle gourmandise à servir un peu rafraîchi. — 4 years ago

Pretty Syrah from Switzerland 🇨🇭 . Tank aging choosing to highlight the fruit, we have here a crunchy cuvée with notes of black fruits, the blueberry stands out well. Peppery notes and liquorice are also felt. The mountain climate gives a lot of freshness and a certain relief to the tasting. The mouth is fresh and tense, the fruit pleasantly respected. Beautiful work, and savoir faire.

Jolie Syrah Suisse. L’élevage en cuve faisant le choix de mettre le fruit en avant, on a ici une cuvée croquante aux notes de fruits noirs, la myrtille ressortant bien. Des notes poivrées, et réglisses se font également sentir. Le climat de montagne donne beaucoup de fraîcheur et un certain relief à la dégustation. A fresh and subtle expression of Merlot. A grape variety that is essentially round, in the Swiss region of Valais 🇨🇭 It is adorned with an attack giving it the freshness that it sometimes lacks to me. The typical elegant notes of the region are on caramel, liquorice, or spearmint (!). Well balanced. Very pleasant.

Une expression fraîche et tout en nuance du Merlot. Cépage rond par essence, dans la région suisse du Valais 🇨🇭 Il se pare d’une attaque lui procurant la fraîcheur acidulée qui lui manque parfois. Les notes d’elegages typiques de la région sont sur le caramel, réglisse, ou menthe verte (!). Bien equilbré. Très agréable. — 6 years ago

Finally an affordable Swiss wine that does not get lost in improbable blends or oak that takes up all the aromatic space! ... and the price is right. Well-worked “Petite Syrah” is a grape variety reminiscent of Syrah by its color and aromatic background. Dark color (purple-violet), brilliant, limpid. The mouth is fresh is less dense than a wine from the Rhône (for example) it is a fairly mineral expression, which tends towards Pinot Noirs or Gamay .. the mountain climate certainly has something to do with it. Nice bottle, I recommend.

Enfin un vin suisse abordable qui ne se perd pas dans des assemblages improbables ou du fût-de-chêne qui prend tout l’espace aromatique! ...et le prix est correct. « Petite Syrah » bien travaillée est un cépage qui rappelle la Syrah par sa couleur et son fond aromatique. Robe sombre (pourpre violine), brillante, limpide. La bouche est fraîche est moins dense qu’un vin du Rhône (par exemple) c’est une expression assez minérale, qui tend vers les pinot noirs ou gamay.. le climat de montagne y est certainement pour quelque chose.
