Elegant and delectable, with a texture of fine silk. Tastes French but avoids the thin acidity that plagues weaker red burgundies and Oregon Pinots. Delicately perfumed with flowers and red fruit, anchored by mushrooms and earth. I paired the 2016 vintage with French Camembert Fermier (Ferme de la Tremblaye) and an excellent pain de compagne from Wally’s in Santa Monica. Astoundingly good. — 4 years ago
Fermier El Mar 2018 Albarino. Tiniest bobbles, crisp acidity, stone fruits, cold mineral. Clean, nuanced, gentle on the start but opens its aromatics with time. Lovely.

@delectable this is Pulling Nails Blend #15...
“I pulled the notes from Pulling Nails #8 to mimic the fruiting addition exactly - the ratio of raspberries to cherries. Then we blended up what could be the best foundation for these fruits and their refermentation by using the base for the blend #8 as a guide.
Where blend #8 used a portion of spontaneous beer back-blended with a 1-year-old saison, blend #15 uses a base of our lambic-inspired beer (quick turbid mash, funkiest of our cultures, expresses itself somewhere between Coexpressionalism and our old spontaneous beers) blended with Oude Fermier and a Brett-forward saison for some additional Brett spice and classical "funk." The blend was refermented on raspberries and cherries for less than 2 months (just like blend #8 yet unlike any other Side Project beer ever) and then allowed to bottle condition since early May.” - Cory King. — a year ago
Toast, strawberry, cherry and hay on the nose. It's rather subtle and delicate. The palate is very well designed, with a strong acid backbone, a nice silky texture with strawberry, a velvety tannin wall before a fruity, silky finish. It's very smooth and juicy, and dangerously easy going. It was served all along dinner but it was showing best when paired with cheese (Saint nectaire fermier was a hit pairing) — 4 years ago
Yowzerz sooo good! Sweet yet skin contact-y. Best cider I’ve had. Perfect for late summer, early fall. — 5 years ago

Biodynamic Pinot Noir without added sulphur. Light, on the fruit, crunchy. Simple, efficient, greedy and digestible. PN Lovers will appreciate for sure !
Pinot Noir nature sans souffre ajoutés et sans le côté fermier parfois malvenu. Léger, sur le fruit, croquant. Simple efficace, gourmand et digeste. — 3 years ago
Amazing. Favorite wine. — 4 years ago
Absolute stunner. 100% Cabernets Flan. Green pepper with a hint of vanilla. Goes extremely well with Blue des Gex or Crottin de chavignol fermier. — 6 years ago

The nose is reminiscent of cidre fermier (farm cider) with a bit of funk at first thqt blows away after a while. The comes honey, apple and some yeasty notes. There is a bit of chalk too. The palate is honey and green apple forward, with a good acid drive, some width, some chalky notes, a bit of grip in the rear and a long persistent finish. Great stuff. We have it along mussels served with green bell pepper and chorizo and it goes super well. — 5 months ago
