This Puligny-Montrachet stayed true to its heritage. Mineral and chalk my on the nose. Well rounded on the palate with a crisp start and light acidic follow through that pairs perfectly with Thanksgiving appetizers. Vive la France — 3 months ago
Monopole - Quite tannic.
Has another 5+ years of life ahead of it. Cherry, raspberry - really incredibly tannic! Try again in 2030? Mulberry (yep have a tree so i can compare). Perhaps cranberry - but really nothing along the line „holy shit“ never had this before, Yes an iconic wine - but that does mean i will give it high points just because of the pedigree and 300$ for these is steep! — 6 days ago
It’s not about QPR when you have a chance to drink history. I had other plans for this bottle but I thought about the bottles I’ve sold over the years and never tasted which now I regret.
You can’t take them with you so you might as well enjoy while you can. Very good, bigger than I expected from a Burgundy but its another bucket list bottle — 2 months ago

2012 vintage. Tasted courtesy of @romo. Nice tension remaining and not totally committed to the overt golden qualities of the involved fruits this effort generally exhibits just yet. Maybe in another 7-8 years but this still had freshness in spades. Impressed enough to put it on the shopping list. Delicious and still fairly focused. Thank you @romo! 01.16.26. — 2 months ago
The vintage that never sleeps. Always so open and giving, 2017 is Grands Ech is superb even in its youth, with scintillating intensity and richness, exceptional detail and focus and a long saline-mineral inflicted finale. Stunning vintage for this wine, one of my favorite bottlings from Drouhin, and surely to be even more impressive with additional time in bottle. — 3 months ago

Twenty-five years as a stubborn tart, she has finally expressed on taste what the nose and ruby color suggested for much of her path. Pleasant 1er to enjoy for at least a decade. — 12 days ago
