Red blend that includes several indigenous Portuguese grapes. Dark ruby color. Aromas of ripe red fruit and vanilla. Red and black cherry/currant fruit on the palate with additional notes of baking spices, chocolate and toast. A pleasant hint of vanilla and oak on the long finish. Soft tannins and well balanced/structured. Medium bodied, rich and juicy. Perfectly aged. Another solid vintage of this tremendous Portuguese value red blend. Excellent quality for the $$$. Dark purple color, with a lot of earthy components. Floral notes with a wooden accents, vanilla, and dark ripened fruit. All with a bit of leather. Nicely balanced with just a medium tannin structure. A lot softer than the flavors and scents give off. I think it’s delicious, and the 2018 is drinking quite primely right now. — 3 months ago
