" with 90 points from Wine Enthusiast and a gold medal from Mundus Vini, this limited edition 2016 combines ancient tradition and ultra modern technique. The classic rioja flavors are there - red and black cherry, prune and tobacco. Plus 24 months in oak give it a spicy vanilla finish." — 3 years ago
So easy to drink, cheap, great casual wine for a pasta dinner — 8 years ago
Big fan of this wine. Cherry aroma, strawberry palate, mineral terroir, smooth finish. — a month ago
Got an A- from James Suckling. I hope we have a similar grading curve. Color is lovely. Like blood in the veins. Smells nice. Rosewater, cherry juice and fresh cut firewood. Flavors are luscious and juicy with just a hint of smoke and oak. Classic Rioja. Balanced and deluscious. I’d agree James. 90 or even 91% for this pupil. — 5 years ago

N: I smell both American and French barrels, dark fruits, plums, Maraschino Cherries, wood spice,
Like it wants to be old. Tobacco, sweeter tarry notes.
P: Nice acidity and tannins in balance, med-full on the palate, black cherry, baking spice, fills the mouth.
Like an old/new word cross. Pretty well done. Great qpr in PA. at $12.99. A bargain.
I splashed it out for a half hour.
If they got rid of the hype sticker, I’d probably think higher of it. — 3 years ago
Fruity, summer night wine! Excellent for the price! — 9 years ago

Black cherry and raspberry on the nose with some light cedar wood, subtle herbs, a hint of mint, and wet earthy stone. The wine is a glossy medium-ruby color with slight garnet on the rim. Same fruit on the palate with a bit of peppery spice but light overall. Medium-high acidity. Only medium tannin. Quick and uninspiring finish. This is light and juicy for a tempranillo. Almost seems like either garnacha or sangiovese was blended in if I didn't know any better. A solid 89-90, but don't think this is worth the 94 WE rating. — 14 days ago
