Wine club release from York Creek. Less brawny than Barnett’s main releases (Cyrus Ryan and Rattlesnake). Mountain fruit (albeit a little less fruit forward) with some nice spice notes and good structure — 4 years ago

Drank with Christmas dinner 2024, with honey baked ham, and brown sugar sweet potatoes. Russian River Valley Pinot goes really well with ham. This one was really good. With and without food. Fruit forward but doesn’t overwhelm the wine. Buy more. — 7 days ago

A nice enjoyable wine and a good value. Rate does great work at Barnett and was pleased to meet and talk with him about his own label. A nice blend of Napa Cab that is fruit forward, but with a strong backbone. Blue and black fruit, oak, nice dusty tannins. Nice mid week wine that although young, drinks very well today. — 2 years ago
