2020 Pietra marina - Etna Bianca superiore. Golden straw coloration. From Mila, birthplace of carricante, why it’s superiore. On the nose, citrus, herbaceous, salinity and minerality. On the palate, rich mouthfeel, citrus, herbs, salinity from the sea, and a finish of herbs (tarragon?) and minerals. Interesting- combo of Chablis and Chardonnay. Paired with mushroom and spring onion mayonnaise. — a month ago

Needs time to open up for the pyrazines to integrate but this is a very pretty North American Cab Franc. Certainly Loire-inspired. — 4 years ago

Outstanding. Waxy, deep, and long. So much texture and stuffing. Hard to believe this doesn’t see any oak. Whispering sweet everythings to my palate. — 4 days ago
