I thought it was divine Steve! We went to friends and family last night to try on the new menu. I have a few wines on the pairing list. We were wowed. Crunchy lamb neck with el dorado gamay. Wasabi snow with 2009 jurançon sec. Deus Belgian beer (with dosage added!) and burrata. We ate at no cost but I guarantee you any cost is worth it. This place is a lot of fun! (An old friend from NY runs it)

Serious and such a pure expression of site and terroir. Only pinot I’ve had from Wanaka sub-region of Central Otago is Rippon, and I can taste the similarity. Pure strawberry and red cherry cream. With an austere cool climate sourness that is not unpleasant. Good mid palate weight. Silky but chewy. Very very good. — 3 years ago

Voluptuous chardonnay, with creaminess and a toasty character along with plenty of fresh stone fruit, both on nose and palate. An almost apricot finish, with just enough acidity to keep things clean. Very drinkable. — 6 years ago

This is the 2014 Mt Maude Vineyard Chardonnay. Lovely lemon, white pepper, and delicate florals on the nose. Palate shows bright acidity and a rounded texture from malolactic. This wine is beautiful now, but I expect it to be much better in a couple of years. The winemaker says that the wine has only been in bottle for ten days, and that it's a bit shut down. This wine is intense with a powerful mid palate and very long finish. Excellent. Wish it was available in the US. — 10 years ago
